The Contemplative Psychophysiology Lab at Northern Arizona University implements a social-affective neuroscience approach to examine the physiological, behavioral, and psychosocial consequences of mindfulness:  a quality of attention characterized by receptive, equanimous, and lucid awareness of events and experiences as they occur in the present moment.
